German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) Dog

Anissa the Dog needs a home

If you're interested in adopting any SGSR dog, please read about our Adoption Process and fill out an Adoption Application. Visit our website for more information, including Frequently Asked Questions

Anissa is a feisty 10 year old tripod who doesn't let her disability slow her down at all. She loves kisses and loves giving them. She pays no attention to cats and gets along with most other dogs except for alpha females. Anissa has been around small children and didn't really pay much attention to them either. She's house-trained and will whimper softly to tell you she needs to go outside. She does fine on a leash with a pronged collar but is stronger than you think with a nylon collar and leash! She has not been crated while with her foster because she's an older lady and it's easier on her joints to lay beside you on the carpet or a comfy dog bed. The vet says Anissa's heart and lungs sound great and her teeth are in good shape too. She's a little bit older but still has plenty of spunky and love to give. Don't you?

Our adoption process consists of a telephone interview, a call to your veterinarian and a home visit. If you have any questions about the adoption process please contact
